Certainly there's a LONG way to go, but that is a big jump if they both finish undefeated the rest of the way, especially since their schedule doesn't have a lot of quality games left.twins15https://www.blogger.com/profile/03523976327895867248noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20751884.post-1161195175126851032006-10-18T13:12:00.000-05:002006-10-18T13:12:00.000-05:00What about Texas? The clock rules are bad, it will be sad to probably never see Peterson break a long TD run in college anymore, Troy Smith is the current Heisman frontrunner, and Cal is the best Pac-10 team.

While I have a hard time seeing Auburn playing for the national title, the Orange and Blue glasses may play a part in that, I will say that it's entirely possible. There's a real chance that the Tigers wouldn't have to play in the SEC title game due to their loss to Arkansas, finish the season with that one loss and be playing for the NC. I really hope that wouldn't happen, especially if the Gators made it through the season with their one loss, and won the SEC title, but we all know how screwy the BCS can be.

And yes, I definitely agree that there will be some form of BCS controversy.BDochttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15132679892742279721noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20751884.post-1161189564555935332006-10-18T11:39:00.000-05:002006-10-18T11:39:00.000-05:00You know what bothers me? This year really has been a downer year.SAMOhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05147036967049463093noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20751884.post-1161187441375944332006-10-18T11:04:00.000-05:002006-10-18T11:04:00.000-05:00Some very good points. And it's funny how bad the Big East was a couple of years ago when a so-so Pitt team got to play Utah in a BCS bowl. But you're right, they have some really good teams this year. The Armchair Quarterbackhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16662260665770330419noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20751884.post-1161157493474595252006-10-18T02:44:00.000-05:002006-10-18T02:44:00.000-05:00I completely agree with you about Cal. Too bad they lost their opener because I think they might be the best team in the country right now.

Not sure about Auburn/Michigan for the title. The winner of the UM/Ohio State will be there and I can't see how West Virginia won't go unbeaten in the Big East and end up playing for the championship.Dan McGowanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15754593602002280351noreply@blogger.com
