With his rebounding and fine outlet passes, he gets the fast break going which results in easy hoops. Not to mention offensive rebounds, which lead to points either by putbacks or by resetting the offense, kicking it back out for the outside shooters.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20751884.post-1162452547583942732006-11-02T01:29:00.000-06:002006-11-02T01:29:00.000-06:00"I don't see what Cleveland added that makes them ..."I don't see what Cleveland added that makes them that much different than last year's team."

Well, they didn't add a lot of pieces, but pieces added is not why I think they'll be better.

The way I see it is that a lot of things went wrong for Cleveland last year, and they still won 50 games. Larry Hughes did not look like the same player when he was healthy, but he wasn't horrible. Hughes missed 46 games last year, and a lot of that PT was filled by guys like Ira Newble, Steven Graham, Sasha Pavlovic, and Luke Jackson... who all suck. So if Hughes is healthy, even with him struggling, that's a huge upgrade in those games.

Damon Jones was ok in his last year in Miami, but was not good at all last year. If he can get closer to his Miami year, that's another upgrade. Ditto for Donyell Marshall. So while Cleveland didn't make a lot of moves, I think some of their guys will bounce back, and LeBron will keep improving.

And Beast, point taken... but I had to add a third player! :) Mostly I just think Smush is not good enough to be starting NBA PG, but there he is.twins15https://www.blogger.com/profile/03523976327895867248noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20751884.post-1162436746983314882006-11-01T21:05:00.000-06:002006-11-01T21:05:00.000-06:00How is Smush Parker Overated? I agree that Big Ben contributes nothing on offense, but the Bulls have enough scoring on the court without him.insomniachttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02968135877475135480noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20751884.post-1162370484560395092006-11-01T02:41:00.000-06:002006-11-01T02:41:00.000-06:00glad you like B-Roy! he was so fun to watch for 4 ...glad you like B-Roy! he was so fun to watch for 4 years at U-Dub and I think he'll have a great NBA career. the guy deserves it.The Big Picturehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00824849961968298355noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20751884.post-1162370270163658582006-11-01T02:37:00.000-06:002006-11-01T02:37:00.000-06:00Yeah, I gave serious, serious thought to picking t...Yeah, I gave serious, serious thought to picking the Spurs... but in the end I just like the Mavs versatility again. I still don't think SA has anyone to match up with Dirk (though then again, no one matched up with Duncan). All told, that is a playoff series I would LOVE to see again. I think they'll be the two best teams in the NBA.twins15https://www.blogger.com/profile/03523976327895867248noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20751884.post-1162368631291504992006-11-01T02:10:00.000-06:002006-11-01T02:10:00.000-06:00I love, love, love Gerald Wallace. As it stands, he'll probably toil more in anonymity because he plays for Charlotte.

I feel like San Antonio gets by Dallas this year. I don't think Devin Harris will be as good as he was in the playoffs, and that lingering concern will allow San Antonio to control the tempo when the two teams meet. The funny thing is that Dallas played at a really slow pace, which you would think favors San Antonio. With all their guys healthy, I like the Spurs to take the crown.Pradamasterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05821200497043581100noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20751884.post-1162368443245365202006-11-01T02:07:00.000-06:002006-11-01T02:07:00.000-06:00Great minds must think alike, because I also have ...Great minds must think alike, because I also have the Mavs over the Cavs and LJ as my MVP. I like you putting Dirk there at the #2 spot in the MVP balloting. I think SA is very dangerous if Tim Duncan is healthy. Remember, Dallas barely got past SA last year and TD wasn't 100%SAMOhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05147036967049463093noreply@blogger.com
