Very busy day, so I just have a quick post now.
Day 2 of the MVC Tourney, and as I predicted, Bradley beat Creighton (54-47), and Northern Iowa beat Missouri State (57-42).
In the other two games, Wichita St. easily beat Indiana St., and Southern Illinois beat Evansville by 16. Tomorrow, top seed Wichita St. will take on Bradley in the afternoon, and Southern Illinois will meet Northern Iowa in the nightcap.
My picks: Bradley, who is playing great right now, pulled the shocker over the Shockers, and Northern Iowa does what they couldn't do a week ago and close out a win over Southern Illinois, setting up a Bradley/Northern Iowa tilt in the MVC final.
In the other big college news of the day, Seton Hall helped their chances with a win over Pittsburgh, 65-61. In my mind, this puts the Pirates above Syracuse as far as the Big East is concerned, especially after the embarrassing effort by the Orange versus Depaul. 'Cuse may need a win Sunday against Villanova or a couple of Big East Tourney wins to get into the Big Dance. One week, one day to Selection Sunday.
